The Families We Choose
Abigail Swetz will be joined by her family – partner Lauri and daughter Jacel, and parent understudies Gigi La Budde and Michael Whaley – for this UU service on the topic of “The Families We Choose”: Just as the Unitarian Universalist faith is one of active choice, so is the family we choose to include in our lives. By including them, we decide whom we want to impact both who we are and how we want to go about navigating our lives with this chosen family as guides and shipmates.
The order of service will include readings from Mary Pipher, Hamlet, and Roy Croft; three hymns from Singing the Living Tradition ; a piano Prelude and Postlude by music director, Jack Holzhueter; and, of course, Abby’s Reflection on “The Families We Choose.” Please join us! Child care is provided.
